About the property

Chalet Alaska brings timber architecture and mountain views to a quiet setting close to central Chamonix. Part of Le Hameau des Plans, this independent 243 square metre chalet accommodates six adults and seven children across five ensuite bedrooms.

The main living floor opens beneath a high pitched ceiling, with exposed beams and a centrally positioned fireplace. A sofa area provides space to gather after skiing, while the kitchen and dining table occupy the other side of the room. Windows bring light into the kitchen, where an island offers room for preparing meals together.

Balconies extend the living space outside and provide a setting for outdoor dining when conditions allow. A separate rear terrace holds a cedar hot tub and loungers, offering another place to relax with views of the surrounding mountains. There is also a lower terrace overlooking the valley.

Three double bedrooms on the ground floor open onto the terrace and each have a private shower room. A fourth room contains two sets of bunk beds and its own bathroom. Upstairs, the mezzanine bedroom has three single beds, skylights and an ensuite shower room.

A separate television room can provide additional flexibility, although any conversion to sleeping space must be agreed when booking. The stated capacity excludes extra accommodation in neighbouring chalets.

Le Savoy beginner slopes are approximately 300 metres away, with central Chamonix within a short walk. An internal lift, garage parking, heated boot storage, bedroom air conditioning and laundry facilities support stays. Daily housekeeping accompanies self-catered bookings.

Five ensuite bedrooms: three ground-floor doubles with terrace access and shower rooms; ground-floor four-child bunk room with bathroom; top-floor mezzanine with three singles, skylights and shower room. Six adults plus seven children maximum. Middle-floor TV room can convert by arrangement; extra capacity is excluded. Cedar hot tub, balconies, terraces, kitchen, fireplace, wine fridge, internal lift, garage for two cars, boot warmers, air conditioning in bedrooms and laundry.

Chamonix

Location & skiing

Le Hameau des Plans, Chamonix. Approximately 300 metres to Le Savoy beginner slopes, connecting towards Brévent gondola. Central Chamonix is a short walk, with source estimates of three to five minutes.
