About the property

Chalet Shalimar offers a whole-property retreat in Zermatt's Winkelmatten neighbourhood, with ten bedrooms and a maximum of twenty guests. The accommodation combines two substantial residences within one building, allowing a large party to stay together while retaining several separate places to relax. Matterhorn views and an indoor wellness area are central to its appeal.

The upper living rooms sit beneath timber roofs, with fireplaces, generous seating and balconies facing the mountains. Further living and dining accommodation below gives the group flexibility for children's meals, quieter conversations or an evening together. The property is presented here as the complete chalet; its smaller Alex and Elena units are not additional accommodation within this booking.

Six double or twin bedrooms occupy the upper residence and four the lower. Each has its own bathroom, with balconies or garden and terrace access according to the room. The indoor pool, sauna, hammam and treatment room serve the whole property, while a lift, laundry facilities and heated boot storage support a longer stay.

Both staffed and self-catered options are advertised. Food and drink costs depend on the selected package and must be confirmed in the quotation. The Matterhorn Express is approximately eight minutes on foot, with an electric bus stop nearby. A ski return close to the property is possible only when the Moos route and snow conditions allow.

Complete Shalimar building: upper Alex residence has six double/twin bedrooms, including two masters; all have balconies and private bath/shower rooms. Lower Elena residence has four double/twins with terrace or garden access and private bath/shower rooms. Total ten bedrooms/twenty guests. Multiple living/dining rooms, indoor pool, sauna, hammam, treatment room, lift, ski/boot storage and laundry. Alex/Elena are component units, not extra bedrooms.

Location & skiing

Winkelmatten, Zermatt. Matterhorn Express about eight minutes walking; bus stop approximately 140 metres. Moos ski return comes within about seventy-five metres when conditions permit. Centre roughly nineteen minutes on foot.
